ZUND RESIDENCE
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

PROPOSAL
The Zunds wanted to remodel and expand their existing one story 1,256 SF home. Along with Tim Petersen, we were responsible for designing and preparing construction documentation.
The existing was a traditional 50 year old house therefore, we came to a decision of demolishing it. The owners requested a modern look to the new architecture. Upon the owner's agreement, we agreed to add a 2nd story as well. Our design oversaw an expansion of about 200 square feet on the Ground floor and a new 2nd story addition of about 1,518 square feet. Our architecture features a minimal design in the ground floor and in the overall exterior. A few elements we feel proud of achieving are; the high ceiling of the Great Room/Living Room below the roof deck, the roof deck, rear yard deck with fire pit and leisure area, and the exterior facade clad with Brazilian mahogany. Therefore, we accomplished the architecture and most importantly, contemporary living spaces to both the client's needs as well as to our satisfaction.
