APERTURES
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTURE, LOS ANGELES

PROPOSAL
A group of interns collaborated for the Design, Documentation and Installation of the Exhibition called "Apertures" which was built in the Gallery of Sci-Arc in 2014. Each panel was designed and modeled in Rhinoceros and later fabricated by Warner Bros. The pieces were then taken to the site at the gallery and installed. These pieces being made of white plastic, were attached to one another like a puzzle then they were attached with certain tools. The overall sculpture has a very organic form. In certain spots on the completed installation, the 'apertures' open up, acting as vibrators and acting as a transitional tool between the inside and outside.
